This dataset is developed based on real-time meteorological monitoring across farmlands in Xinjiang. Fully automatic small-scale weather stations are deployed to collect real-time data such as air temperature, humidity and wind speed every half-hour, with daily uploads of the collected data. The reference crop evapotranspiration (ET0) is calculated and analyzed to provide data support for farmland water surplus and deficit analysis, guide scientific farmland irrigation and drainage, and thereby improve crop yield and quality.
1. Real-time data collection: Fully automatic small-scale weather stations conduct real-time monitoring over various farmlands in Xinjiang every half-hour, collecting parameters including air temperature, humidity, wind speed and other relevant meteorological data, and upload the real-time data on a daily basis.
2. Data processing: The collected raw data is processed through deduplication, merging, regional classification and statistical analysis to derive multiple core meteorological parameters: solar net radiation (W/m²), air temperature (℃), wind speed (m/s), saturated vapor pressure (Pa), ambient humidity (%rh), atmospheric pressure slope and air humidity. The reference crop evapotranspiration (ET0) is calculated using the following formula based on these parameters:
ET0 = 0.408 × Daily Solar Net Radiation × Atmospheric Pressure Slope / (Atmospheric Pressure Slope + (Air Humidity Constant × (1 + 0.34 × Wind Speed))) + 900 × Wind Speed / (Temperature + 273.15) × (Saturated Vapor Pressure - Ambient Humidity) × Air Humidity Constant / (Atmospheric Pressure Slope + (Air Humidity Constant × (1 + 0.34 × Wind Speed)))
3. Data application: By tracking and analyzing long-term ET0 datasets, evapotranspiration monitoring of local farmlands can be realized, providing reliable data support for farmland irrigation and drainage management, and thus enhancing crop yield and quality.
