The series summarised the employment history of employees who were stationed at the Preston Electrical Workshops/Depots, Department of Engineering during the period ?1965 to 1993. Sick leave cards are attached to the history cards for some employees.The information recorded includes:- Name of the employee- Date of birth- Date of appointment- Designation and salary (electrical fitter, mechanic, welder, junior clerk, body maker, watchman or boiler maker)- Other information (date of permanent appointment, date of death, resignation, etc.).
