Research data set

Data series are: i) Indicator od Islamic banking development, that is calculated as the share of Islamic banking assets in the total banking assets of Malaysia; ii) Financial stability indicator, that is Tier 1 capital to risk-weighted assets (RWAs) of the total Malaysian banking sector. Time series data refer to the sample period from January 2013 to October 2024, are given on a monthly basis and include 142 observations. Both time series are methodologically consistent, compiled by the Central Bank of Malaysia, and publicly available, which contributes to the transparency of this research.
