Multibeam bathymetry raw data (Kongsberg EM 122 entire dataset) of RV MARIA S. MERIAN during cruise MSM116

Raw multibeam bathymetry data were collected aboard RV MARIA S. MERIAN during cruise MSM116 using a Kongsberg EM 122 multibeam echosounder. The expedition took place during 2023-04-03 – 2023-05-07 from Montevideo (Uruguay) to Recife (Brazil) in the Southern and Central Atlantic Ocean. Data were recorded outside EEZs. MSM116 focused on to obtain sequences of very well-preserved deposits of calcareous microfossils from relatively shallow water depths (in reach of the MeBo200 coring device) and paleo-water depths (thus with potentially good preservation), and therefore allow the study of surface and bottom water temperatures, ẟ18O-seawater, and related paleoceanographic parameters to establish climatic boundary conditions during […]

本数据集的原始多波束测深数据（multibeam bathymetry data）由RV MARIA S. MERIAN号（玛丽亚·S·梅里安号）科考船在航次MSM116期间采集，所用设备为康斯伯格EM 122多波束测深仪（Kongsberg EM 122 multibeam echosounder）。本次航次的执行时段为2023年4月3日至2023年5月7日，航行区域覆盖南大西洋与中大西洋海域，航线从乌拉圭蒙得维的亚延伸至巴西累西腓，所有数据均采集于专属经济区（Exclusive Economic Zones, EEZs）之外的海域。本航次MSM116的核心目标为获取相对浅水区（处于MeBo200取芯装置（MeBo200 coring device）作业范围内）保存完好的钙质微化石（calcareous microfossils）序列及对应古水深（paleo-water depths）数据——此类样本通常具备极佳的化石保存潜力，因此可用于开展表层与底层海水温度、海水δ18O同位素（δ18O-seawater）及相关古海洋学参数（paleoceanographic parameters）的研究，以确定[…]时段的气候边界条件（climatic boundary conditions）。
