RIXS study of magnetic and charge excitations in Sr-doped NdNiO2

Infinite layer nickelates are the most interesting cuprate-akin materials, for being superconductive and for sharing several structural and electronic properties with high Tc superconductors. Among those is 2D antiferromagnetic background, as confirmed by the detection of magnetic spin waves with doping dependent energy and damping. Here, we propose to extend and complete our prior investigation of spin excitations in Nd1-xSrxNiO2 films, by performing a polarization-resolved RIXS study, with the aim of determining the spin dynamical susceptibility. Throughout our analysis, the use of the polarimeter is crucial to discern such excitations from the underlying charge continuum. By fitting the RIXS spectra, using an extended Hubbard theoretical model already available to us, we will tune the key parameters and compare them to those of cuprates.

无限层镍酸盐(infinite-layer nickelates)是最具研究价值的类铜酸盐材料,它们不仅具备超导性,还与高温(Tc)超导体共享多项结构与电子学特性。其中二维反铁磁本底便是其一,这一点已通过对掺杂依赖的能量与阻尼的磁自旋波的检测得到证实。在此,我们提出通过偏振分辨共振非弹性X射线散射(简称RIXS)研究,拓展并完善此前对Nd₁₋ₓSrₓNiO₂薄膜中自旋激发的研究,目标是测定自旋动力学磁化率。在整个分析过程中,偏振分析仪的使用对于从本征电荷连续谱中分辨出此类激发至关重要。我们将利用已有的扩展哈伯德理论模型对RIXS光谱进行拟合,以此调整关键参数,并将其与铜酸盐体系的对应参数进行对比。
