COI amplicons were generated from lake water eDNA extracts from two Ugandan lakes. In the same PCR experiment soil invertebrate DNA extracts were barcoded with the same COI primers. The eDNA study (KEA) investigates eDNA preservation of the lakes. The soil invertebrate study (MetaInvert-ISO) evaluates read abundances in metabacorded bulk DNA extracts of soil invertebrates.
