The Digital Ionosonde is a high-frequency pulsed Doppler radar controlled in real time by a computer, and it is an ionospheric sounding instrument developed by the University of Massachusetts Lowell, USA. It can simultaneously measure multiple parameters of ionospheric echoes, including amplitude, phase, time delay, frequency, Doppler shift, angle of arrival of the incoming wave, and polarization angle.
