There are so many such targets that even with strict filters to ensure targets are small planets several unconfirmed TESS candidates are transiting at any one time. CHATEAUX proposes to use time-critical P3 Cheops observations of a filtered and ranked set of TOIs which would be able to be scheduled between higher-priority time-critical Cheops observations. We expect these filler observations will produce useful scientific observations of TOI candidates including ephemeris improvements TTV detection improved radius precision and improved false positive probabilities (thanks to both ruling our chromaticity and centroid shifts). 项目标题:SoM——借助CHEOPS与TESS验证未确认系外行星候选体
### 项目摘要
绝大多数凌日系外行星巡天卫星(Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite, TESS)发现的感兴趣目标(TESS Objects of Interest, TOIs)尚未得到确认,其主要原因之一是缺乏后续观测支持。此类待验证目标数量极其庞大,即便通过严格筛选以限定为小型行星,任意时刻仍有多个未确认的TESS候选体处于凌星状态。本项目CHATEAUX计划利用优先级为P3的紧急时间窗口CHEOPS观测,对经过筛选与排序的TESS候选体集合开展观测,此类补位观测可在优先级更高的紧急CHEOPS观测任务间隙完成调度。我们预计这类补位观测将为TESS候选体带来极具科学价值的观测数据,包括轨道历元修正、凌星时间变化(Transit Timing Variations, TTV)探测、半径精度提升,以及假阳性概率优化(通过排除色度异常与质心偏移两类干扰源实现)。
