Late Jurassic magmatism in the southeastern region of the South China Block (SCB) has been confirmed to be associated with lithospheric extensional events. However, the triggering mechanism of this event remains unclear. This paper attempts to investigate this issue through a study of the Late Jurassic shoshonitic rocks from the Mashan pluton in South China, with the dataset including zircon U-Pb dating, major and trace elements, Sr-Nd isotopes, etc.
