Additional file 3: Table S3. List of genes whose expression increases Saccharomyces cerevisiae tolerance to 0.30 mM octanoic acid based on the screening of the Euroscarf deletion mutant collection; the elimination of the indicated genes increases yeast susceptibility to octanoic acid. The description of the encoded protein functions is based on the information at SGD. The susceptibility phenotype of each single deletion mutant was scored, after 48 h as (+) if the mutant strain showed, compared with the parental strain, a slight to moderate growth inhibition, and (++) if no growth was observed.
