2015年6月，中国科学院海洋研究所基于“科学”综合科考船对马努斯热液和南海冷泉展开综合海上调查。本部分数据包括利用ROV携带甲烷传、二氧化碳、溶解氧和pH传感器所获得的南海冷泉区近海底水体原位化学信息，以及用海流计采集的底流信息。
In June 2015, the Institute of Oceanology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences conducted a comprehensive maritime survey targeting the Manus hydrothermal vents and the South China Sea cold seeps aboard the R/V "Kexue" (Science) comprehensive research vessel. This dataset includes in-situ chemical data of near-seafloor waters in the South China Sea cold seep area collected by ROV-mounted methane, carbon dioxide, dissolved oxygen and pH sensors, as well as bottom current data acquired via current meters.
