Dataset for 'Cross-taxa sublethal impacts of plant protection products on honeybee in-hive and zebrafish swimming behaviours at environmentally relevant concentrations'
收藏资源简介:
This is the dataset associated with the manuscript 'Cross-taxa sublethal impacts of plant protection products on honeybee in-hive and zebrafish swimming behaviours at environmentally relevant concentrations' published in Environment International in August 2025. For the honeybee data, it includes the raw data sheet of all behaviours recorded throughout the experimental rounds as well as the .csv sheets for the proportions of each behaviour/category per experimental day. The R scripts for the GLMM analysis (Gamma family with a log function) of the behaviours and categories are also available here. Moreover, we have published the data summary on the age of onset of foraging used to calculate the differences (R script also available). Lastly, we have added the mortality data and the respective R script to calculate differences in mortality between treatments using a Kruskal Wallis test. For the zebrafish data, the dataset contains larval behavioral metrics following exposure to three pesticides and their mixture, quantified across 26 endpoints including baseline activity (BSL1–4), visual (VSR, VMR) and acoustic startle responses (ASR), habituation (ASH), interstimulus intervals (ISI, IEI), inter-bout intervals (IBI), and memory retention (ASR2/3), measured in pixels per second. Data processing was performed using custom KNIME workflows (version 4.6.3), while statistical analyses employed nonparametric bootstrapping, Kruskal–Wallis tests, and Benjamini–Hochberg corrections for multiple comparisons. Effect sizes were calculated using Strictly Standardized Median Differences (SSMD). R scripts are included to reproduce cloud plots, SSMD heatmaps with significance, and multidimensional scaling (MDS) analyses. All visualizations were generated in RStudio (R Core Team, 2023) using ggplot2 and RColorBrewer.
