The NCS study of the hydrogen sublattice in the Pd-doped HxWO3 tungsten bronze

The hydrogen tungsten bronzes HxWO3 are promising materials because of their potential applications in hydrogen technology. Their potential applications are related to the collective behaviour of the hydrogen sub-lattice within the bronze crystal structure. From the neutron Compton (NCS) scattering point of view, it is the ability to track the emergence of an ordered behaviour out of individual interactions that seems to be intriguing. For the NCS study, we propose to use a Pd-decorated cubic polymorph of WO3 (c-WO3) as staring material for the bronze formation, rather than the monoclinic WO3 polymorph typically used for the purpose.
氢化钨青铜 (hydrogen tungsten bronzes) HₓWO₃是一类极具应用前景的材料,其在氢能技术领域拥有潜在应用价值。该材料的应用潜力与其晶体结构内氢亚晶格的集体行为密切相关。从中子康普顿散射(NCS)的研究视角来看,能够追踪由单个相互作用过程中涌现出的有序行为,这一研究方向颇具吸引力。针对本次NCS研究,我们提议采用钯修饰的WO₃立方晶型(c-WO₃)作为制备氢化钨青铜的起始原料,而非该领域通常使用的单斜晶型WO₃。
