Replication package for "Climate change and migration: the agricultural and mining sectors as transmission channels in Latin America"

This repository contains the replication materials for the article "Climate change and migration: the agricultural and mining sectors as transmission channels in Latin America" by Pedro Troncoso and Viviana Fernández.The package includes: (i) the harmonized country-year panel dataset covering 17 Latin American countries for the period 1960–2017; and (ii) the estimation code reproducing the two-stage least squares (2SLS) and IV-GMM results reported in the main text, together with reduced-form and first-stage estimates reported in the online appendix.All underlying variables were obtained from publicly available secondary sources (World Bank, FAO, University of Delaware Willmott–Matsuura gridded climate dataset, GADM, WorldPop, United Nations, and the Center for Systemic Peace).
