Sternberg et al GCB dataset synthesis Matta LTER

This dataset contains the primary ecological data supporting the study Sternberg et al., Global Change Biology, based on a long-term rainfall-manipulation experiment conducted at the Matta Long-Term Ecological Research (LTER) site in Israel. The database includes multi-year measurements of annual Mediterranean herbaceous plant communities exposed to contrasting drought intensities and rainfall event structures. Variables comprise above-ground biomass production, species composition, species richness and diversity, functional group responses (grasses, legumes, forbs), and community stability metrics, alongside associated climatic and treatment information.
