Fill from six features at Site La 115316 in northwest New Mexico were floated to recover
charred macrofloral remains; two of these features also were analyzed for pollen. Ceramic
sherds suggest occupation of the site during an unspecified Anasazi period (AD 600 to 1600),
while projectile points also suggest occupation during the Middle Archaic period (ca. 3200 to
1800 BC) and/or during the Late Archaic period (1800 BC to AD 400). Pollen and macrofloral
analyses are used to provide information concerning possible plant resources utilized at this site.
