Data for "Soil Moisture Retrieval from HY-4A Multi-angular L-band Brightness Temperatures via Polarization-Robust Machine Learning"

This dataset contains the processed HY-4A/ISMN time-matched samples used in the study “Soil Moisture Retrieval from HY-4A Multi-angular L-band Brightness Temperatures via Polarization-Robust Machine Learning”. The dataset covers the period from March to May 2025 and includes ascending and descending HY-4A overpasses matched with in-situ soil moisture observations. The uploaded compressed file contains daily NPZ files organized by date and orbit direction. The suffix “_A” denotes ascending overpasses, and “_D” denotes descending overpasses. These files include the processed multi-angular L-band brightness temperature observations, incidence-angle information, ancillary environmental variables, station information, and matched soil moisture reference values used for the analyses reported in the manuscript. The original HY-4A, ISMN, ERA5/ERA5-Land, NDVI, soil texture, and land-cover datasets are available from their respective data providers. This repository provides the processed research dataset generated during the study.
