Host-pathogen study involving Homo sapiens (A549 cells) and Influenza A virus

Influenza A virus (IAV), a member of the Orthomyxoviridae family, relies extensively on host cellular factors to complete its replication cycle. To systematically identify host genes that influence viral infection, a genome-wide CRISPR-Cas9 knockout screen was performed using the GeCKO library in human A549 cells. It enables the identification of host dependency factors that modulate IAV replication. And this resource may facilitate the discovery of potential antiviral targets or therapeutic strategies by linking genetic perturbations to phenotypic outcomes of infection.
