Gut microbiota analysis of Brazil toddlers in 4 states

The gut microbiota has been of great interest and it has been widely recognized that it plays an important role in human development. In early life, there are several factors (not limited to) that alters the microbiome such as diet, geographical and other environmental influence. When a child undergoes weaning, the gut microbiota also undergoes adaptive changes to optimize the resources available. This is particularly less known in Latin America where there have been many more nutrition related questions. In this study, we investigate the overview of microbiota composition of Brazilian toddlers from day-care centers.
