Level of Living among Youth of Immigrant Background 2006

In preparation for the "Level of living among immigrants 2005/2006" survey, one decided to draw a supplementary sample among young people of immigration descent. That resulted in the survey on "Level of Living among Youth of Immigration Background 2006", conducted by Statistics Norway on behalf of the Ministry of Labour and Social Inclusion, the Ministry of Health and Care Services, the Ministry of Children and Equality and the Ministry of Education and Research.

The inclusion of young people of immigration background in a supplementary survey was motivated by the desire to improve the basis for analyses of level of living among young immigrants: Both to compare the situation for young people that are raised in Norway to the situation of older first generation immigrants, and to Norwegian youth in general. The number of young immigrants and descendants that were included in the main sample was not sufficient to produce reliable information about this age group.

Three of the immigration countries represented in the main survey were selected to be a part of the supplementary sample: Pakistan, Turkey and Vietnam.

为筹备《2005/2006年移民生活水平》调查，项目组决定针对移民后裔青年群体抽取补充样本，由此形成挪威统计局受挪威劳工与社会融合部、卫生与护理服务部、儿童与平等事务部及教育与研究部委托开展的《2006年移民背景青年生活水平》调查。
将移民背景青年纳入补充调查的初衷，在于完善移民青年生活水平的分析基础：既可对比在挪威成长的青年与初代老年移民的处境，也可与全体挪威本土青年进行参照比较。原主样本中纳入的移民青年及后裔数量，不足以支撑该年龄群体可靠调研数据的产出。
本次补充样本选取了主调查覆盖的三个移民来源国：巴基斯坦、土耳其与越南。
