The study area for this research is situated in two towns, Zhaojia and Dongbaihu, within the Torreya National Forest Park in Zhejiang province, China. To assess the influence of stand age on the assembly of soil fungal communities, three categories of stands were chosen at random at each location: young stands ( 300 years old). We amplified the ITS2 region using the universal primer pair ITS3-2024F and ITS4-2409R, each tagged with a sample-specific 6-bp barcode.
