Involved in regulation of postsynaptic neurotransmitter receptor activity. Acts upstream of or within evoked excitatory postsynaptic potential. Located in presynapse. Is active in glutamatergic synapse. Is expressed in central nervous system; eye; and lip. Orthologous to human BEGAIN (brain enriched guanylate kinase associated).
