资源简介:
Source DNA available from Dr. Esperanza Martinez-Romero (emartine@ccg.unam.mx) at the Center for Genomic Sciences, Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. Rhizobium. This is a genus of fast-growing, root nodule bacteria from leguminous plants. Rhizobium sp. CCGE 502 This strain was isolated from a Dalea leporina root nodule. It is capable of inducing the formation of nitrogen-fixing nodules in the common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) but is a poor competitor for bean nodulation. Genome sequencing and comparison of this strain with other common bean rhizobia is expected to help understand the genetic determinants required for a competitive and successful interaction with beans.
