VPRS 7625 Newspaper Clippings Relating to the Constitution Referendum of 1911

This series comprises newspaper clipping books. The subject matter relates to the Commonwealth Referendum on the Constitution Alteration: Legislative Powers and also Monopolies held in 1911. The clippings are mainly from the Argus and Age newspapers and are arranged chronologically within the books. There are three books and together they cover the period January to April 1911.Some doubt exists as to the provenance of this series as it may have been created by the Federal Parliament when it used the Melbourne Chambers during the first two decades of the 20th Century.
