Panel survey on job situation, views on their working conditions and
political attitudes among young parlamentarians directly after start of
their activity and 3 years later.

Topics: Reasons for Federal Parliament candidacy; ideas about course
of the day; attitude to parliamentary party and parliamentary party
discipline; specialization in problem areas; type of contact with
press; evaluation of relationship of representatives with citizens and
special interest associations; attitude to the petition committee,
public committee meetings, constituency work, referendum, separation of
powers, public interest as leitmotiv for the member of Parliament and
criticism of the job of parliament by groups outside of parliament;
utilization of and type of advice and information sources; personal
possibilities to influence legislative initiatives; attitude to reform
policies; reform recommendations of respondent and attitude to a
parliamentary reform; function of the parliament; evaluation of
political room for action and attitude to more supervisory power of the
parliamentarian; intent of renewed candidacy for Federal Parliament;
career as professional politician; assessment of equal opportunities in
