Dataset, R Scripts, and Figures for: Entrepreneurial Profiles in Higher Technical Education: A Cluster Analysis Based on the Social and Emotional Learning Framework

This repository contains the dataset and analytical resources for the study "Entrepreneurial Profiles in Higher Technical Education," which proposes a taxonomy of entrepreneurial profiles based on the Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) framework. It includes the database from a stratified sample of 483 students from the Instituto Superior Tecnológico ITCA, evaluated through a 60-item instrument measuring 15 dimensions of socio-emotional and cognitive competencies. The files provided include the R script and session history used to perform the model-based cluster analysis (using the Mclust package) and the Bayesian Information Criterion (BIC) to identify the optimal groupings. Additionally, the graphical representations (violin and radar charts) characterizing the four identified profiles—Social Innovators (58%), Emotional Training Enthusiasts (27%), Students at Risk of Exclusion (11%), and High-Performance Leaders (4%)—are included to ensure transparency and replicability of the findings. These resources support the development of personalized training interventions and the validation of instruments supported by Artificial Intelligence in higher technical education contexts.
