Responses to rhizobia in allopolyploid Glycine dolichocarpa and diploid progenitors

Allopolyploidy holds potential implications for biotic interactions. The natural allotetraploid Glycine dolichocarpa (designated “T2”) showed enhanced symbiotic responses to rhizobia (mutualistic soil bacteria) when compared to its diploid progenitors (G. syndetika, “D4”, and G. tomentella, “D3”). The RNA-Seq libraries in this study were generated to explore the expression differences underlying these differing responses.
