VOCALS: IMARPE R/V Jose Olaya GAUS Radiosonde Data. Version 1.0

During the VAMOS Ocean-Cloud Atmosphere-Land Study (VOCALS) campaign, an NCAR/EOL GPS Advanced Upper-Air Sounding (GAUS) system was deployed. This dataset is from the system located on board the Instituto del Mar del Peru (IMARPE) ship R/V Olaya, and was conducted from September 30 to October 17, 2008. A total of 133 high quality radiosonde soundings were collected from the R/V Olaya along the coast of Peru. The site used Vaisala RS92 radiosondes with GPS windfinding. These data were processed by NCAR/EOL and converted to the EOL sounding composite format.

在VAMOS海-云-大气-陆地研究（VAMOS Ocean-Cloud Atmosphere-Land Study, VOCALS）项目期间，美国国家大气研究中心/地球观测实验室（NCAR/EOL）的GPS高级高空探空（GPS Advanced Upper-Air Sounding, GAUS）系统完成部署。本数据集源自部署于秘鲁海洋研究所（Instituto del Mar del Peru, IMARPE）“奥拉亚号”（R/V Olaya）科研考察船上的该套探空系统，观测时段为2008年9月30日至10月17日。本次任务沿秘鲁沿岸海域共采集得到133份高质量无线电探空观测数据，本次探空作业采用维萨拉（Vaisala）RS92型无线电探空仪搭配GPS测风技术。所有数据均由NCAR/EOL完成后期处理，并转换为EOL探空综合格式。
