Knowledge and skills used by social workers working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people

The data was collected to understand the skills and knowledge needed by Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal social workers who are experienced and well-regarded by Aboriginal communities and their experience in social work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The research questions that this data aimed to answer were: - how do Aboriginal social workers work with Aboriginal people and communities? - how do non Aboriginal social workers work with Aboriginal people and communities? - what do both groups of workers recognise as being culturally sensitive and appropriate social work practice? A qualitative methodology was adopted, which resulted in data being gathered by means of an open ended questionnaire, individual face to face and telephone interviews, and one group interview. Data collected: digital recording and MSWord documents and transcripts for 19 interviews. 本研究采用质性研究方法，通过开放式问卷、面对面个人访谈、电话访谈以及1次小组访谈的方式采集数据。本次采集的数据包括19次访谈的数字录音、Microsoft Word（MSWord）文档及访谈转录文本。数据采集工作由乔安娜·祖布日茨基博士（Dr Joanna Zubrzycki）、时任西澳大学（University of Western Australia）学术职员的维奥莱特·培根（Violet Bacon），以及时任新南威尔士州（New South Wales）社会工作从业者的宾迪·贝内特（Bindi Bennett）共同完成。
