Nizhny Novgorod Heat Vulnerability Assessment Components

The dataset provides the set of indicators used for comprehensive assessment of composite indices of urban morphology, walkability, heat exposure, and adaptive capacity in the city of Nizhny Novgorod, using the polygonal zonal grid based on the 15-minute city model.The city’s territory is zoned using the Thiessen-Voronoi tessellation method, which is based on creating relatively small polygons corresponding to a 15-minute walking distance.The data is separated into 2 files: a shapefile with an attribute table, and an .xlsx table with the description of the parameters. In total, 16 variables are presented in the dataset (z-scores and raw data), with the resulting composite indices of urban morphology, walkability, heat exposure, and adaptive capacity being calculated using the principal component analysis (PCA) method.
