Observation error calculation and analysis

The zip file contains all the data you need to run the scripts on observation error calculation and analysis. The folder named "sim_results_202308" includes the model equivalent BTs for all 8 infrared channels from MSG SEVIRI, as well as their observed counterparts. For the folder named "obs_err_veri", it contains the results from the 1000 bootstrapped runs for different observation error approaches. The overlap rate and the Kolmogorov–Smirnov statistic are stored in the file named "results_stat_1000times.nc", the number of data used for verification at every run is stored in the file "results_data_counts_1000times.nc". Beacuse the total data size of the normalized FG departures from 1000 bootstrapped runs is too large, we only share their probability densities at bins between [-10, 10] with an interval of 0.1, and the data is stored in file "results_pdf_1000times.nc".
