'Candidatus Streptomyces philanthi' is the defensive symbiont of the European beewolf, Philanthus triangulum. This bacterium provides its insect host with a cocktail of antimicrobial metabolites that protects the developing larvae from mold infestation. The transcriptome of 'Ca.
