Research Design for Investigations of 4 Sites, Poinsett Weapons Range, Sumter County, South Carolina

This research design describes New South's approach to archaeological investigations of four sites located at the Poinsett Electronic Combat Range, Sumter County, South Carolina. Sites 38SU18 and 38SU243 represent prehistoric occupations and Sites 38SU150 and 38U196 date to the nineteenth through twentieth centuries. The objective of the proposed archaeological investigations is to evaluate the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) eligibility of these four sites.

本研究设计阐述了新南方（New South）针对南卡罗来纳州萨姆特县庞塞特电子战斗靶场范围内四处考古遗址开展考古调查的实施方案。其中38SU18与38SU243两处遗址属于史前人类活动遗存，38SU150与38U196两处遗址的年代跨度为19至20世纪。本次拟开展的考古调查核心目标，是评估此四处遗址是否符合美国国家史迹名录（National Register of Historic Places, NRHP）的入选资格。
