Abundance and biomass of macrobenthic organisms collected from van Veen grab samples taken in the Beaufort Sea in 1986 and 2002

This dataset is a component of the PAN-Arctic data collection of benthic BIOtas (PANABIO) and has been collated during the Census of Marine Life project Arctic Ocean Diversity (ArcOD; http://www.arcodiv.org/). It contains a total of 1,321 abundance and wet biomass records of 53 macrobenthic taxa (species to genus level) identified in 101 van Veen grab samples taken at 29 stations located in the Beaufort Sea at water depths of 32–49 m during two cruises in 1986 and 2002, respectively. The dataset is also available in a PostgreSQL-based data warehouse that can be accessed and queried through an open-access frontend web service at https://critterbase.awi.de/panabio.

本数据集是北极底栖生物泛北极数据集（PAN-Arctic data collection of benthic BIOtas，简称PANABIO）的组成部分，由“海洋生物普查”项目下的北极海洋生物多样性普查（Arctic Ocean Diversity，简称ArcOD；http://www.arcodiv.org/）整理完成。数据集共收录1321条大型底栖生物类群（macrobenthic taxa，涵盖物种至属级）的丰度与湿生物量记录，相关鉴定数据来自波弗特海29个站位的101份范·维恩采泥器（van Veen grab）样品；该采样工作分别于1986年和2002年的两次科考航次中开展，采样水深介于32至49米。此外，本数据集还存储于基于PostgreSQL的数据仓库中，可通过开放获取的前端网页服务（https://critterbase.awi.de/panabio）进行访问与查询。
