Three-dimensional seismic structure beneath Australia Deployment SC

This data set composes of recordings made in the third deployment of portable seismometers for the SKIPPY project. The objective of the SKIPPY project was to map the three-dimensional structure beneath the Australian continent. The recordings were made between 1993 and 1996 using groups of portable broad band seismographs deployed across regions of Australia to record the seismic energy from distant earthquakes.
It was not possible to cover the whole continent at one time with the available hardware so the data was collected in stages, with the instruments moving between regions for each deployment. Each station includes a deployment mnemonic (SA, SB, SC, etc.) and a station number.

本数据集收录了SKIPPY项目第三次便携式地震仪（portable seismometer）部署阶段采集的地震观测记录。SKIPPY项目的核心目标是绘制澳大利亚大陆下方的三维地下结构。本次数据采集工作于1993年至1996年间完成，研究团队在澳大利亚各区域部署多组便携式宽频带地震仪（broad band seismograph），用于记录远震产生的地震能量。
受限于当时可用的硬件设备，无法一次性完成整个澳大利亚大陆的观测覆盖，因此数据采集分阶段开展，每一轮部署的仪器都会在不同区域间移动布设。每个台站均配有部署代号（如SA、SB、SC等）与台站编号。
