The series comprises of course development material for the Industry Skills Unit at Meadowbank, which was part of the Technical and Further Education (TAFE) network of higher education campuses in New South Wales.The Technical and Further Education Commission Act, 1990 (Act No.118, 1990) established a new administrative structure based on Institutes which oversaw colleges with their own distinctive study programs. The TAFE Industry Skills Unit in Meadowbank was one of three Industry Skills units operating in NSW under the Training and Education Support (TES) portfolio. (1)The Meadowbank campus focused on Community Services and Health, Electrotechnology and Communications, Manufacturing and Service Skills industry areas.The records consist of final course booklets, with developmental material including notes, email printouts and correspondence kept in separate folders. A number of modules sit within each course.Some folders contain correspondence from the 1950s regarding teacher recruitment and administration records related to courses.The files are numbered using three different systems:*a 'C' (Course) number which was the course number allocated by the central vocational training authority (the Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Board NSW, from 2011 the Australian Skills Quality Authority).*an annual single number with a TAFE prefix (e.g. TAFE08/9999) which was allocated by the Unit.  The course number is usually in the file title. *a classified multiple number (e.g. 207/94/9999) which may be from the TAFE central records system and may reflect the transfer of central files to the Unit. 档案采用三套独立的编号体系：
1. "C"（Course，课程）前缀编号：由中央职业培训主管部门——新南威尔士州职业教育与培训认证委员会（2011年起更名为澳大利亚技能质量管理局）统一分配；
2. 带TAFE前缀的年度单编号（例如TAFE08/9999）：由本单元自行编制，课程编号通常标注于文件标题中；
3. 分类复合编号（例如207/94/9999）：该编号大概率源自TAFE中央档案系统，或反映了中央档案向本单元的移交流程，课程编号通常同样标注于文件标题中。
