Herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1); reactivation; single-cell RNA-seq; autophagy; trigeminal ganglion (TG); tree shrew; ICP0

This dataset comprises bulk transcriptome and single-cell transcriptome data from HSV-1–infected trigeminal ganglia (TG) of C57BL/6J mice and tree shrews. Bulk RNA-seq includes 48 samples in total (24 per species) across post-infection time points 0, 3, 5, 7, 10, 14, 28, and 58 days post infection (dpi), with three biological replicates per time point. Single-cell data were generated from tree shrew and mouse TG: tree shrew samples were sequenced on the 10x Genomics platform and include mock and spontaneous reactivation (latency) conditions; mouse samples were sequenced on the BD Rhapsody platform with Sample_Tag multiplexing and include mock (mock, mock24h), lytic infection (lytic), latent infection (latency), reactivation (reactivation), and heat-shock–induced reactivation (heatshock12h, heatshock24h, heatshock36h). The dataset provides raw sequencing data and gene-expression matrices aligned to the respective reference genomes. Sample and data details are given in seq_information.xlsx.
