This dataset records the statistical data of grassland type area and carrying capacity of Zhiduo County, Qinghai Province in 1988 and 2012. The data is classified and counted according to grassland group and type codes: for example, I represents alpine steppe, II represents mountain steppe, III represents alpine desert, B represents medium graminoid group, J represents shrub group, etc. The specific meanings of grassland group and type codes are detailed in the document "Instructions for Grassland Group and Type Codes of Qinghai Province.pdf" included in this dataset.

This dataset is compiled from the *Statistical Compilation of Grassland Resources of Qinghai Province* released by the Qinghai Provincial Grassland Station in 1988 and 2012. It contains three data tables, namely: 1) "Instructions for Grassland Group and Type Codes of Qinghai Province.pdf"; 2) "Statistical Data on Grassland Type Area and Carrying Capacity of Zhiduo County (1988)"; 3) "Statistical Data on Grassland Type Area and Carrying Capacity of Zhiduo County (2012)".
