鸢尾科鸢尾属宿根草本。高10～15 cm。叶狭线形。花茎极短；花黄色，直径4～4.5 cm；外花被上有须毛状附属物。花期5～6月。 耐干旱瘠薄。中国特有植物。产西藏中部至东部的广大地区，常生于海拔 3 200～5 300 m的高山石砾坡或高山草甸中。甘肃、青海也产。
Perennial herb of the genus Iris (family Iridaceae). Height: 10–15 cm. Leaves narrowly linear. Scapes extremely short; flowers yellow, 4–4.5 cm in diameter, with beard-like appendages on the outer perianth lobes. Flowering period: May to June. Tolerant to drought and infertile soils. Endemic to China, widely distributed in central to eastern Tibet, often growing in alpine gravel slopes or alpine meadows at elevations of 3200–5300 m. Also found in Gansu and Qinghai provinces.
