Working Hours survey 1985, Spouse file

In 1984, the government appointed a committee to investigate the possibilities and effects of various future changes in working hours (the Working Hours Committee). This interview survey was carried out by Statistics Norway on behalf of the same Working Time Committee, as a supplement to the Labor Force Survey 2nd quarter 1985. The purpose was to survey what kind of working time arrangements the working people have today, as well as gather information on attitudes to working time reforms. The survey contains information on working time arrangements, working conditions and attitudes to changes in working hours and retirement age.

The data file consists of five different main elements: Variables with the prefix 'A' and 'B' originate respectively from the Labor Force Survey 1st and 2nd quarter 1985. The Working Time Survey itself, which was an additional survey to the LFS 2nd quarter, can be found in variables with the prefix 'E' . Furthermore, variables beginning with 'C' are taken from the survey called Labor 1984, which was an additional survey to the LFS 1st quarter 1985. Finally, we have variables beginning with 'D'. These are taken from the tax file of 1984. Other variables in the data file are derived by Statistics Norway.

A separate "Spouse file" is also available, but it is not possible to link this to the interviewees in the Working Hours Survey.

1984年，挪威政府成立专门委员会，针对未来各类工作时长调整的可能性与影响开展调研（该委员会为工作时间委员会（Working Hours Committee））。本次访谈调查由挪威统计局（Statistics Norway）受同一工作时间委员会委托执行，作为1985年第二季度劳动力调查（Labor Force Survey, LFS）的补充调查项目。本次调查的核心目标为探明当前就业群体的工作时间安排现状，并收集民众对工作时长改革的态度相关信息，调查内容涵盖工作时间安排、工作条件，以及民众对工作时长调整与退休年龄变革的态度倾向。
该数据集包含五大核心组成部分：前缀为'A'与'B'的变量分别源自1985年第一、第二季度的劳动力调查；作为第二季度劳动力调查补充调查的本次工作时间调查数据，对应前缀为'E'的变量；此外，前缀为'C'的变量取自1984年劳工调查（Labor 1984）——该调查为1985年第一季度劳动力调查的补充调研；最后是前缀为'D'的变量，其数据来源于1984年税务档案。数据集内其余变量均由挪威统计局衍生生成。
另有独立的“配偶档案”文件，但无法将该文件与本次工作时间调查的受访者进行关联匹配。
