Vibrio parahaemolyticus strain:M0607 and M0904 | breed:Penaeus vannamei Raw sequence reads

Juvenile's Penaeus vannamei were inoculated with a moderately virulent strain VpM0607 and a highly virulent strain Vp M0904 responsible for acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease (AHPND), an emerging shrimp disease. Water samples collected from the bottom of the experimental units were analyzed using shotgun metagenomics during 48 hours post-inoculation. There were variations in the water microbiota community structure between strains of Vp depending on the virulence degree and time. A significant reduction was observed in Neptuniibacter spp., suggesting that the type VI secretion system 1 (T6SS1) of Vp strains might have a dual function, kill surrounding bacteria and damage the hepatopancreas during intoxication by AHPND. In addition, we found a relationship between thecopy numbers of the virulent plasmid and the bacterial density. This studyallows the understanding of the bacterial interactions that could happen in shrimpfarms.
