Understanding species relationships and the timing of a Eurasian - North American disjunction in Amsonia (Apocynaceae)

Here we construct the phylogeny for the genus Amsonia with all species sampled. In addition we test hypotheses on hybridization, ancestral habitat, and where Amsonia may have originated and which direction it may have migrated (Asia to North America or NA to Asia).
