By leveraging principles from string theory, such as topological defects and higher-dimensional spaces, the researchers propose novel quantum error-correcting codes. To validate these concepts, the paper describes two primary simulations: one for bit flip error correction and another for phase flip error correction. In both simulations, a lattice of qubits is initialized, errors are introduced, and stabilizer measurements are used to detect and correct these errors. The results show high success rates in correcting both types of errors, even at varying error rates, thus demonstrating the robustness of the proposed codes.
