Under the rapid development of urbanization, we assessed the soil-groundwater ARGs, MGEs, pathogens and their interactive associations in different anthropogenic activity areas from the suburbs of Beijing, China. By utilizing high-throughput qPCR and 16S rRNA sequencing, we aimed to (1) profile the ARGs, MGEs, risk ARGs and human pathogens in soil-groundwater of different anthropogenic activity areas, (2) reveal the effect of human activities on soil-groundwater resistomes, and (3) analyze the relationship between soil-groundwater in Beijing suburbs.
