This collection archives instruments related to the Nutrition Environment Measurement Survey food retail survey conducted by the Hazard Reduction Recovery Center, as part of a National Science Foundation-funded project. The instrument was designed to gather specific types of information on food retailers affected by Hurricane Harvey. The survey instrument was designed to collect information on: (1) store information, (2) vegetables, (3) fruit, (4) milk, (5) ground beef, (6) hot dogs, (7) bread, and (8) cereal. The survey was designed to be answered by a trained surveyor conducting a visual inspection/assessment of food types and qualities conducted by. The survey was designed to be conducted in a store using a smart-phone. This archive documents two versions of the survey. The first version was for use in Jefferson and Orange County, Texas. The second version was for use in Harris County, Texas.
