1961–2015年中巴经济走廊SPEI干旱指数数据集

Drought index data set is the basis of drought research. Drought disasters occur frequently in the China Pakistan Economic Corridor. Making the drought index data set is of great scientific significance for drought monitoring and risk assessment. Based on daily precipitation and temperature gridded data of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor from 1961 to 2015 and calculated standardized precipitation evapotranspiration index (SPEI) for different time scales (1- 24 months). The verification shows that this dataset has high accuracy and can better reflect the real temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of drought in China-Pakistan Economic Corridor area. The dataset can provide substantial support for climate change research and assessment of drought disaster risk over the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

干旱指数数据集是干旱研究的重要基础。中巴经济走廊（China-Pakistan Economic Corridor）区域干旱灾害频发，构建该干旱指数数据集对于干旱监测与灾害风险评估具有重要的科学意义。本数据集基于1961年至2015年中巴经济走廊的逐日降水与气温格点数据，通过计算得到不同时间尺度（1~24个月）的标准化降水蒸散指数（Standardized Precipitation Evapotranspiration Index，SPEI）。经验证，本数据集具备较高精度，能够较好地反映中巴经济走廊区域干旱的真实时空分布特征。该数据集可为中巴经济走廊区域的气候变化研究与干旱灾害风险评估提供有力支撑。
