Comparative genomics of 194 Salmonella enterica

This genome sequencing project is a collaboration among lab groups at the University of California-Irvine (UCI), The Genome Institute at Washington University in St. Louis and the Bacterial Epidemiology and Antimicrobial Resistance Research Unit (BEAR-RU) at the United States Department of Agriculture. This dataset consists of draft genomes of 194 diverse Salmonella. BEAR-RU analyzed these sequences for genetic variation and genomic context of antibiotic resistance genes. UCI is analyzing these sequences to investigate the evolutionary history of Salmonella.
