Quality of life assessment following cytoreductive surgery (CRS) and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) for appendiceal neoplasms and malignancies: electronic patient related outcome measurements (ePROMs)

This data forms the basis of a currently unpublished original research article assessing the quality of life of appendiceal neoplasm patients following cytoreductive surgery with heated intraperitoneal chemotherapy (CRS&HIPEC). Quality of life data and symptom specific questions were routinely collected before outpatient appointments as part of an electronic patient recorded outcome measures (ePROMs) iniative. Within the scope of the research article, the authors assessed the QoL using the EuroQoL-5D tool, however this dataset also includes specific symptom reporting such as nausea, vomiting, sexual dysfunction etc.. Patient characteristics such as sex, age, PCI, CC score and time since surgery were extracted from electronic patient records and have been anonymized where necessary for publication. The host instituition and authors have been kept anonymous to maintain a double-anonymized peer review process.
