A coverage of 59 non-intersected formal protected areas (PAs) over 7017 km<sup>2</sup> of Vhembe District, Limpopo Province, South Africa, was derived from the South African Protected Areas Database (2024) from which invalid and intersecting parts of PAs were removed. The coverage is contained in the supporting data files:- Vhembe_District_Formal_Protected_Areas.shp (and sidecar files)- Vhembe_District_Formal_Protected_Areas.csv
