The project cannot be exactly replicated by external researchers because the underlying tax data are confidential and the tax model is proprietary. However, this archive includes information researchers could use with their own microsimulation model and data. The public use file is available from the Statistics on Income division of the IRS for a fee. The tax model is proprietary. An open-source tax model is available from the Policy Simulation Library.
